Overall!
This is my last blog :( how sad. The trip overall was fantastic! It was not the ordinary relaxing spring break trip that one tends to look forward to. It was a different kind of fun. I got to see tons of awesome places that most people don’t get to see over the span of five years, and here I got to see them in ten days.
Recap:
Chicago-Fun but it was my worst of all the days because I...
Day Nine- Nashville
Fran and Mehl may have had the best sandwich of their life. But I had the best steak, Tonight in Nashville we went to this restaurant called Demos, It specialized in steak and spaghetti. I know- it sounds crazy, but it was really good. Who would chose to have a restaurant that specializes in that but the combination was good.
First off they had amazing tea. SWEET tea- THANK GOODNESS TO BE BACK...
Day 8!
Today was fun, we got up and were supplied yummy Kreme Krispy s! Then we got on the bus to go to Charlotte North Carolina. When we got here a couple of us went to the mall which was fun. Others went down town. Lauren and I had a story to do today so we did it on this lacrosse team that is staying in our hotel. And we’ll just capture/edit everything tomorrow on our bus ride to Nashville!...
Day Seven- Virginia Beach
Today was a great day.
First we got up pretty early to go to VB then when we got there, we went shopping! It was too cold to play on the beach, all though Michael jumped in! So crazy! I didn’t have a story today so Mehl and I got to relax. We shopped for a while with everyone then when we went back to the hotel Fran Lo and I went to some of the surf shops around the beach, a ton of them...
Day Six- D.C.
Today was an all around good day!
First we went to the Newseum which is basically a historical timeline of things that have happened from all around the world. It specified on America, but had other things too. It was really eye opening because we saw a ton of photographs that were Pulitzer Prize winners, and they were very climactic and thought provoking. Also there were videos about 9-11 and...
Day five. DC
Today we did a lot of traveling. I’m really tired. We left NYC around 12 p.m. and then went to DC. when we got to DC we looked around at all of the momuments. They were really cool. we got there at dusk so it was really pretty. Mehl and I did our story tonight at FDR memorial, we talked about the depression and how we’re leading into one. I hope we see Obama, that would be awesome. But...
The Big Apple- Day 4
My feet are tired. We spent all day in New York City. From 930 A.M. to 1130 P.M. all day. And it was amazing. I got three hot dogs; New York style cheesecake, knock-off sunglasses, and Gucci envy me for 20 dollars. I went on Canal street and went into back rooms full of knock-off purses. It was awesome. We got to see Central Park, Time Square, Ground Zero, China Town, Canal Street, and the...
NYC- Day Three
Day three was an adventure.
We traveled from Cleveland to New Jersey today. You would think it would be horrible riding on the bus today- but in fact, it was most adventurous. Today we just had a ton of fun on the bus. BUT. Rob did pick on me all day, it mad me angry because I was asleep and he started punching me because he was bored. I mean couldn’t he have played on his DS or...
Chicago- Day 2
Last night we arrived to Chicago, we are staying downtown Chicago, and the city is beautiful. Four girls and I are staying in one room- and we love it. BUT. We’re paying for the nice city hotel because it is UBER small. We had five girls staying on two full size beds, and no room to walk on the floor because of our luggage- ugh! But we went with the flow and dealt with it. :) The rooms were...
Day One
Today is the first day of the trip- which means all day traveling. We’re on our way to Chicago, and we’ve just stopped in Springfield, IL to have lunch. Some of us went to Noodles & Company. Can you believe there’s a restaurant that specializes in noodles?!?? I was so excited. I got Mac ‘n Cheese. YUM YUM. It wasn’t too expensive either, but tax is a killer here...
